COMPARTMENTATION SURVEYS

Fire compartmentation surveys are important assessments that help building owners and developers ensure the fire safety of their buildings. They identify any potential fire risks and areas where fire protection systems may need to be upgraded or improved.

At JC Fire Protection Ltd our experienced surveyors can provide an in-depth evaluation of the buildings fire protection systems. During this process we will look to ensure compartment walls, doors, structural steels & penetrations have the correct systems in place to meet the relevant industry standards.

It is crucial that passive fire protection systems are regularly reviewed to ensure any inadvertent breaches that have compromised the compartmentation are identified. It is common that other contractors such as joiners, electricians, plumbers etc may breach compartmentation without highlighting it whilst carrying out elements of their work. During our compartmentation survey we will pick these issues up and offer a solution to rectify the issues to ensure that the fire compartmentation is maintained to provide the desired fire rating.

Fire door inspections are carried out to inspect the condition of an existing fire door to ensure that the compartmentation is not compromised. Our door surveyors follow our survey check list to determine if all components of the fire door are of an acceptable standard. These company protocols allow us to offer remediation & repair solutions to ensure all fire doors meet industry standards.
